Gutter cleaning is quoted job by job. We require your full property address to give you an accurate price. The number of storeys is only one part of the picture: tree coverage, roof pitch, access, roof material and the debris in the gutters all affect the work involved.
This guide explains what goes into an AGCCO quote and gives some indicative starting points. Your property's price may differ, so use the figures as a guide while planning rather than as a confirmed quote.
Expert insight from Dylan Howell, Director of Australian Gutter Cleaning Co., with 15 years in roofing and eight years in gutter cleaning. Updated 27 October 2026.
Request a quote for your property. Provide the full address, number of storeys, whether gutter guard is fitted and any known access concerns.
A guide to gutter cleaning prices in Adelaide
For suitable jobs, indicative starting points are around $330 for a single-storey home and $460 for a double-storey home. Coordinated strata work can start at around $80 per unit where multiple units are serviced together. All figures include GST.
These figures are indicative only. Each property is assessed and quoted individually, and the final price depends on its conditions and the agreed scope. The strata figure applies to suitable grouped work; it is not a standalone single-unit call-out price.
Booking several homes together can reduce the cost per property. If neighbours or a strata corporation want to coordinate the work, include all property addresses and the number of homes or units when requesting a quote.
What affects your quote?
Tree coverage and debris. A light layer of dry leaves is a different job from heavy, compacted or decomposed material. Gum trees shed throughout the year, while Norfolk pines and larger-leafed trees can also create recurring gutter and downpipe problems.
Roof pitch and access. Steeper roofs, additional height and difficult access can change the working arrangements and time required. Two homes with the same number of storeys can involve very different amounts of work.
Roof type and condition. Older roof designs and materials such as decramastic can require a different approach. Suspected asbestos roofing needs a separate safety assessment and appropriate specialist arrangements.
Gutter guard. Our initial quote covers a top clean of the mesh. Satellite imagery cannot show the build-up beneath it, so we assess underneath on the day. If under-mesh cleaning is needed, the condition of the mesh and how it is fixed determine the additional work and cost.
Providing the full address and any known roof or access concerns helps us assess the property and quote accurately.
What happens during an AGCCO clean?
Our usual process is to assess the roof and access, take before photos, vacuum the gutter debris, assess visible roof concerns, take after photos and prepare a roof and gutter condition report.
We use our industrial vacuum equipment to clear accessible above-ground downpipe blockages. Underground drainage blockages require a plumber. Your quote sets out the work agreed for your property.
The photos and report show what was found and help guide future maintenance. They can also identify visible concerns that need further assessment.
How can you manage ongoing cleaning costs?
Choose a schedule that suits the property. For most Adelaide homes, our starting recommendation is once a year before winter. Heavy tree cover may mean more frequent visits. The amount of debris found during a clean helps us recommend the next interval.
Coordinate nearby properties. Grouped bookings can reduce the cost per home or unit. The saving depends on the properties, access and work involved, so ask for a combined quote.
Consider the upkeep of gutter guard. It may help a home that otherwise needs three or four cleans each year, but it still needs maintenance beneath the mesh. Read our advice on whether gutter guard is worthwhile before deciding.
What do we need for an accurate quote?
Your full property address is required. Also include the number of storeys, whether gutter guard is installed, any known access or roof concerns and roughly when the gutters were last cleaned.
Mention if you are organising several homes or units together. Existing photos can help explain a concern, but you do not need to climb onto the roof. Let us know about suspected asbestos before any work is planned.
